The tender was announced based on technical specifications and several drawings, so a detailed Implementation Project had to be completed before the start of the work.

Instead of outdated coal and oil-fired boilers over 50 years old, new pellet and wood boilers in the form of wood chips have been installed, Photo 2 and 3.
In addition, new circulation pumps, heat accumulators, automatic regulation of the outlet water temperature depending on the external air temperature, especially for the radiator heating of the school and the fan heating of the gymnasium, a new electroheater, as well as a generator for the needs of the thermotechnical equipment in the boiler room due to relatively frequent power outages (the municipality of Ljubinje is located on the periphery of the power system of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from which it is still supplied).

It was not possible to connect new boilers to the existing chimney, to which the coal boiler of the Secondary School is also connected and which was quite damaged in the earthquake of 2022.
Thanks to the understanding of the supervisory authorities from the Directorate for Reconstruction and Construction of the Republic of Srpska, representatives of the Implementation Unit, and the insistence of the school director, completely new chimneys were installed for each new boiler individually.
